Captain Tucker is a red dun roan with dorsal stripe and leg barring. He has good feet and legs, very short backed and good carry down muscling. His pedigree goes back to Hancock and Driftwood on the top and on the bottom he has some running bloodlines which shows when you need to get somewhere in a hurry. He is very friendly and enjoys any and all types of attention, bathes, clips, great with his feet, runs up to see you in the pasture and always has his ears up. He was handled since birth and isn't spooky around people at all. Shane started him and rode him for 3 months before selling him to a buyer that was unable to keep him for as long as they had hoped and so we bought him back knowing that he was safe, sound and sane. Shane and Kim have rode him some more around the ranch this past year and last winter Shane roped on him at indoor arenas on slow cattle. He had 2 months team roping training with David Schmidt on slow cattle this fall. Currently roping faster cattle once a week this winter. I feel he would be very suitable for team roping, team penning, trail and mountain riding. And his temperament is quiet enough he could be used for 4H or older child's riding horse. His teeth have been checked on a regular basis as well as being up to date on worming and vaccinations.
